Khor-eth's team members from everywhere often train with Phaalan's (the purple Mahjite) team members.
Hence the heavy showing of red and purple at this party.

As you'll see, they are very friendly with one another.

Next update tomorrow.

So much secrets underground that I think it is going to be much safer to be in plain sight in time.
Well, you gotta throw a military party from time to time.

Why isn't your comment upside down too?!?! ;-P

So many secrets going down on Earth.
The Elite team often hear bits and pieces of information concerning major Line activity going down in Southeast Asia, centred in Thailand.
What's going on? They aren't told.
Were more Line members from Earth inducted there? Probably.
Is Lt. Gelech Caro involved? Maybe.

Does it matter to this storyline right now?
Pfffft… no! Not a bit.

Lots of secrets on Earth though. That's all I'm sayin'.

I understand the usual security concerns and stuff. After all, special forces, undercover operatives and everything else working behind the scenes sometimes do not even report to the rest, I guess.
Though I have a feeling The Line has too much of a "one hand has no idea what the other does" problem. Dunno.
Would not be surprised considering how the leaders act towards each other while actually being a part of the same group.

Sorry, I flipped.

My planet is too far away and I have laser cannons >:(

Okay, here goes (my interpretation):
The Line is a sort of empire without a clear, single, "Emperor". It is a conglomeration of fiefdoms that are exclusively ruled, controlled, and administered by the Mahjite. They answer to no-one but themselves, except possibly to the "Council" (which seems to me to have merely an advisory role). As Rd has said earlier, they enforce their control VERY tightly and carefully.

Why does this matter? Power, obviously. Why are certain things kept from the Elite members by their Mahjite? Because they don't have the "need to know". Think about it - if an Elite member knows the location of their main training facility and gets captured or kidnapped, that supposedly "top secret information" will instantly become compromised. I don't care WHO you are or what powers you have, EVERYTHING eventually is revealed under interrogation (yes, that includes ALL forms of interrogation - drugs, sleep deprivation, torture, Line "magic", etc)...

This all revolves around the practice of institutional security. "If he doesn't know it, he can't spill it"!

Yep. As usual, you've pretty much got it down.
Think of a United Nations type of rule, where the nations are actual planets and the leaders are the Mahjite.
Even their home planet, Dyerin, is now ruled by a council headed up by two of the Mahjite.

And yes, everything is dished out on a "need to know" basis.

At some point I should make a diagram of this structure.
It would be fun, for me anyhow. ;-)

Thanks for your comments Sig. :-)

This party is at MadJak's residence?

It is, after all, "the Madhouse".

lmao :D :D
I mean I spent half a day laughing at that Ivory Tower thing for no reason whatsoever and everything that day was automatically hilarious.
So I flipped my avatar and laughed.
So yeah, the party might as well be here...

Ooh, party. Probably pretty exclusive ;D

Extremely cliquey and exclusive!
(is cliquey even a word?)

Must be one heck of a party, if it has an unknown location

Yep, The Line members throw one heck of a party.
Though this one is tame in comparison to others we'll see… later. :-)
